Plain words about your data.

Landfast is a service of McK Records. This page explains how we work with you, and how we look after the information that passes through our pages.

Client agreement: your data

Who is responsible for what (POPIA)

• The client (the promoter, couple, coach or business that orders a page) is the responsible party for the signups collected on their page. They decide why the information is collected and what it's used for.
• Landfast / McK Records is the operator. We process that information only on the client's behalf: hosting it, storing it securely, backing it up and exporting or deleting it when asked. We don't use it for ourselves.
• For our own events list, we are the responsible party. That list is made up only of people who tick a separate, unticked box. See "Our events list" below.

What we collect, and where

• Order form (clients): contact details, what the page is for (event, wedding, coach, link-in-bio, business or other), the details of your page, files and links you send us, and your wording and domain preferences. Used to build your page and talk to you about your order.
• Signup forms (visitors) on client pages: name, email, optional WhatsApp number, which page and event it came from, the page's niche and type, the date, and whether each box was ticked. Stored securely and shown only to the client and to us as operator.
• Page statistics: anonymous counts of visits, how far people scroll and ticket-button clicks, with the traffic source (like Instagram) and device type. We use a random visit code kept only in your browser tab. We don't set tracking cookies, and we don't store your IP address or fingerprint your device. If a client's page also uses the Meta Pixel, Conversions API or Google Analytics, that will be explained to visitors on that page.
• Logins: the owner and client stats pages use a login cookie so you stay signed in. That's all.

We don't collect anything in the background beyond what is listed here.

Our events list (optional)

Every signup form has two separate boxes. The first (needed to join the presale) is for news about that event or page from the client. The second is unticked by default and says: "Yes, also send me news about other events from Landfast. Unsubscribe anytime."

Everyone else's details stay with the client, in the client's list, and are never used for our marketing. Every message we send has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you.

Payments, referrals and partners

• Card payments: you pay through Yoco's secure checkout. Your card details go to Yoco, never to us. We receive confirmation that a payment was made, the amount and your order reference.
• Referral cookie: if you arrive through a partner's link, we save the partner's code in a cookie called lf_ref for 60 days, so we can credit the partner if you order. It contains no personal information about you. You can delete it in your browser settings.
• Partners: people who join our partner programme give us their name and email (and optionally a phone number and company). We use these only to run the programme and pay commission, and keep them [for as long as the partnership lasts plus 5 years for tax records]. We never sell them. Partners must not send us other people's contact details without that person's permission.

Storage, backups and security

• Your page and data are hosted on our hosting account, with SSL (the padlock) on all pages.
• Stats pages and owner pages are password protected. Passwords are stored hashed, not in plain text. Each client sees only their own page stats and signups.
• We keep a daily encrypted backup copy of the data so nothing is lost.
• We never sell, rent or share your data with anyone. We only use service providers (such as our hosting company) to run the service, and only for that purpose.

Your rights

You can ask us to see, correct, export or delete your information, or withdraw a permission you gave, at any time. If you signed up to a client's page, tell us and we will pass it on to the client or act on it as their operator. If you aren't happy, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).

Terms of service (clients)

• The service: we design and build one landing page per order (an event, wedding, coach, link-in-bio, business or other page), as described in "What's included" on our site. Launch pricing for the first 10 clients: Starter R2,499 and Pro R3,999, both once-off per page. Add-ons: rush build +R750, extra page or date +R1,500, yearly renewal from R599/yr.
• What we need from you: the information and files on the order form. You confirm you have the right to use them (artwork, photos, music, logos, names).
• Approval: you review a preview and approve it before it goes live. One round of changes is included.
• Domain and hosting: hosting is included for 12 months on both packages. Pro includes a custom domain for 12 months, and Starter includes a free page link on our own domain (landfastpages.com/yourevent). After that you can renew for a small yearly fee, take the domain over yourself, or let it lapse once the page has done its job. If it lapses, we archive the page, so export your data first.
• Your signups: as above, the signup list belongs to you. You must tell your fans how you'll use their details, and only message people who agreed.
• Sales and results: for event pages, ticket sales happen on your ticketing platform. For all pages we track clicks and signups, and can't guarantee sales, bookings or RSVPs.
• Payment and refunds: orders are paid by card through Yoco. Cancellations and refunds follow our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
